In Honor of Halloween… Name That Candybar

the best thing about Halloween… CANDY!!!!

i don’t really give much thought about the origins of Halloween… i don’t care what it once was… what it is today, in America is quite simply a day that kids (for the most part) get to dress up as something fantastic… be it scary or just plain fun… then they get to go door to door to collect free yummy candy. how can that be a bad thing???

so in honor of all the great candies out there i found this >> Name That Candybar Game
just playing it makes me want to put a towel in the back collar of my shirt (as i did when i was young) and go door to door as superman… and mob them for their goodies.

for non candy people… i hope u safely enjoy the other festivities tonight… haunted houses, costumue parties, scary movie get togethers… turning out the lights and acting like your not home and watching TV… whatever floats your boat.

  1. Very cool little game, I got most of them right, it was the obvious ones I didn’t.

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George does the Candy Bar Line-Up. He should have just looked at Buster’s site. But anyways, the whole episode is freakin hilarious. I think it is called “The Dealership”, it’s a must see, especially if you are a Seinfeld fan!

  2. Ha, cool. You’re right, whatever halloween once was, it ain’t anymore. I have alot of fond memories of halloween when I was a kid.

I have an issue with the “Smarties” on that game. I’m looking at a pack of em right now, and they have no chocolate, just candy. Those look more like M&M’s. Go to http://www.vallefudgeworks.com/shopping%20cart%201/Smarties.jpg for a pic of what I call smarties. Maybe there’s more than one type. 🙂

  3. All I see Halloween as being is fun.

    Fun scaring people.
    Fun dressing in costumes.
    Fun creating new costumes.
Fun trick or treating (Candy is the best).
Fun watching the kids, your kids, repeating the exact same things that you did as a kid.
Fun seeing the excitement in your kids’ eyes as they get ready to go trick or treating.
Fun meeting up with friends afterwards to have a Halloween party or get together (we skipped the parties this year…all for the kids).

So I really don’t care what people have to say about it…it’s all fun to me. There will always be one ready to screw it all up for the many. (whole other can of worms)

  4. yeah i bet its a lot of fun having kids and getting to watch them have all that much fun and eat all that junk food… and get to be dressed-up goofballs for a day/night.

“anything for candy” ~thats my motto
