spammers… what can be said about these creatures??? lower than the lowest… pure selfishness.
i realize that almost all spam is motivated by monetary gain. i’m a big big big fan of monetary gain. however i’m not so big on spam. in fact it’s absolutely disgraceful. it’s kinda like an american citizen ‘enjoying’ their freedom by burning the american flag (can’t stand flag burners… not sorry for that (u don’t love the USA… change it… or leave it!)).
are spammers so capitalistic that they have no morals or ethics or decency or anything to make them stop for 1 second and realize that if u just don’t really give a flying flip about what other people think, so long as you are making money from them, that there are much more profitable ways to make money then internet and email spam????
i mean if u don’t give a flip… do something exciting… don’t sit behind a CRT like a spineless blob of worthlessness. hey… i got an idea… how about u go sky diving without a parachute… now theres a great idea!
ugghhh… spammers… the one thing in this universe i am confident that we could live without!!!!
o and btw, my rant was brought on by my first experience of spamming on this blog today. i’m sure i’ll be in for a good time of cleaning up the spam grease left behind from such wonderful spamma’s.
how true how true. Most are bots looking for a certain file or something that all WordPress blogs have or something them running through a script and it makes a dumb lil comment about nothing and adds a link. Freakin spammers. Maybe simplepost? Tim prolly has the zip, if he doesn’t I do I think. Or… keep cleaning spam. haha Gotta hate em’

yeah i really like this wordpress stuff… and i’ve customized it… i’m gonna give it a shot to weed out the spammas. they suck so bad… surely they cannot defeat me HAHA. now that’s an invitation for some grief!
yeah, i have upgraded to v1.5 and still get the spam messages. Even though my comments are not posted until I approve them, they are still hitting it up… truly are low-life’s…
but, I have found this anti-spam plugin http://www.estherfuldauer.com/2004/11/08/trencaspammers-10rc-wp-plugin-anti-spam-para-wordpress/
which ads a graphic generated number that needs to be entered before the comment is valid.
This should greatly help or completely eliminate the spam comments. I hope to get it up on mine this weekend.
